How high school prepared me for college
High school didn't prepare me for life. I didn't prepare myself for college untilafter I had my first child. After I had my first child I went to a school to finish my education. While I was attending the school they had different colleges to come in and talk to us about going to college. I did a few applications for college but I didn't get a chance to go because of personal reasons. It took me a long time to go back to school. I went for a while before I left Gary, Indiana but it didn't work out because I was din the wrong field. I was into Computer programming then. I soon realized that it was't for me and that teaching is what I was suppose to do. So once I relocated to Florida I started persuing getting into Edward Waters College. That was back in 2005 and I finally got into Edward Waters College in 2008. I have been here since then. I can say that I made the right decision since then. I have had several stumbling blocks that came my way but I kept right on going. I am proud to say that I am currently still a student at Edward Waters College. I am in my junior year now. I find that as you go further and further into school it gets harder and harder. But if you have the correct mind frame then you can do it just like I am.
